Parking in Saint Constantine and Helena: Complete Visitor Guide

Introduction
Saint Constantine and Helena is one of the most popular seaside resorts near Varna, known for its beaches, spa hotels, and the Aquahouse Thermal & Beach complex. If you’re visiting by car, parking here works very differently from Varna city, so it’s worth knowing the rules in advance.

This guide explains where you can park, how much it costs, and what to expect during the busy season, so you can plan your visit without stress.

Where Saint Constantine and Helena Is Located

Saint Constantine and Helena is located just north of Varna, about 10–15 minutes by car from the city center. It is easily accessible via the main coastal road and is a popular destination both for overnight stays and for day trips from Varna.

Because this is a resort area, parking is not regulated by Varna’s Blue or Green Zones. Instead, parking is managed locally through official parking lots and a separate SMS-based paid zone.

How Parking Works in Saint Constantine and Helena

There are two main parking options in the resort:

  1. Official resort parking lots (most common and recommended)
  2. Local SMS paid parking zone (street-level parking in specific areas)

Both options are paid and clearly marked with signs.

Official Resort Parking Lots

The resort has several official parking areas located close to:

  • beaches
  • spa hotels
  • Aquahouse Thermal & Beach
  • main pedestrian alleys

Typical prices

  • Hourly parking: around 3 BGN per hour
  • 24-hour parking: around 20 BGN per day

Prices are generally the same across the main parking lots, so it’s usually best to choose the one closest to your destination rather than driving around looking for a cheaper option.

Parking for Hotel Guests

If you are staying overnight in a hotel or apartment within the resort:

  • Some hotels include parking for guests
  • Others offer parking at a reduced daily rate
  • In certain cases, parking is free only for registered hotel guests

Always check with your accommodation in advance — during summer, this can save both time and money.

Local SMS Paid Parking Zone (Street Parking)

In addition to the large parking lots, Saint Constantine and Helena also has a local paid parking zone operating on selected streets and alleys inside the resort.

This option is useful for short stays or when nearby parking lots are full.

How it works

  • Parking areas are clearly marked with SMS parking signs
  • To pay, send an SMS to number 135201 with your vehicle registration number
    (example: B1234AB / V 1234 AV – incorrect / Б 1234 AБ – incorrect)
  • Each started hour counts as a full hour
  • You receive a confirmation SMS after payment
  • A reminder message is sent 10 minutes before expiration, allowing you to extend your parking

Operating hours

  • Daily: from 08:00 to 24:00

Because the system charges by the hour, this option is best suited for short visits, such as going to the beach, a restaurant, or a nearby hotel.

Parking Near the Beach and Aquahouse

Parking demand near the beach and Aquahouse is very high, especially:

  • in summer
  • on weekends
  • during afternoon hours

Practical advice

  • For visits longer than 3–4 hours, a daily ticket in an official parking lot is usually the best choice
  • For quick stops, the SMS parking zone can be more convenient
  • Arriving earlier in the day significantly improves your chances of finding a nearby space

Is Free Parking Available?

Free parking options in Saint Constantine and Helena are very limited.

Outside designated parking areas:

  • parking is often restricted
  • enforcement is active
  • incorrectly parked vehicles may be fined or towed

To avoid problems, using official parking lots or the SMS parking zone is the safest approach.

Local Tips for Visitors

  • Parking is easiest before 10:00 or later in the evening
  • Daily tickets make sense if you plan to stay most of the day
  • Hotel parking can be the most convenient option if included
  • Always check signs — rules can vary slightly by location
